recently read through your prescription for parallel processing. I don't agree with all of it, I am not a fan of autotuners and think dynamic compilation for parallelism and locality will play a large role in achieving parallel performance. However, the paper is mostly on target and it will generate good discussion. Your recommendation of small cores is something I have advocated and written about for long time. it would be great if you could cite the first paper to propose the idea of multiple simple cores The Case for a Single-Chip Multiprocessor Kunle Olukotun, Basem A.
